The permit process for restaurant ventilation projects
requires that work be done by state licensed and insured individuals.
Permit requirements may differ state to state and city to city. Depending on the state and city, local AHJs (Authority
Having Jurisdiction) are code enforcement officials responsible for
insuring that state and city Building and Fire Codes are adhered to. Understanding the codes and conforming to the various
organizations required by individual state statutes can be difficult.
